weenie roast

A friend of mine is having a weenie roast next month and needed some fun invitations. I created these using my portrait silouette. How fun! My favorite thing is the starry background! It cut each one of those stars out and is the perfect background for many things. I did use the redwood background stamp from amuse studio to add the look of wood to the firewood.

Amuse ArtStamps

Another fun thing for my stamp room...is that I put all my Amuse ArtStamps Shops on a shelf. They are my most favorite wood block stamps that Amuse used to make. I don't have all of them but the ones I do own I absolutely LOVE!

New addition

There is a new addition to my stamp room!

I have had this printer's tray since the summer. I found it at Chic Design in Harrison ( a great store!) It has been waiting to be hung since I moved upstairs in my stamp room. Joe hung it for me yesterday...on a rainy Monday morning.

I can't wait to fill it full of my favorite wood block stamps!

Hello birdies

I hung my new bird feeder yesterday...now all I need to do is wait for the birds to come. I will be able to enjoy them right outside my kitchen window.

Bird feeding

My client made me this cute bird feeder from wood scraps and an apple tea pot set. I can't wait to put it outside and feed the birds...such a great gift!

new home

My daughter and son-in-law bought a new home and moved in last week. I love the retired stamp set "home sweet home" from amuse studio. I stamped and paper pieced the one teepee and added my sentiment. Happy new home Alison and Collin...enjoy making memories!

Pumpkins galore

These cute pumpkins are filled with some Hershey kisses. They are a multitude of sizes and so fun.
It was a kit that came already cut...all I had to do was assemble them. It was a bit tricky with the smaller ones...but they are all so cute. Perfect for your upcoming fall decorating.

It's like a visit to the pumpkin patch!

Happy Halloween!

I have been busy in my new stamp room crafting Halloween treats!
I love making nugget treats for any occasion.

boo to you

I found these cute boo buckets at Micheals or Hobby Lobby...can't remember which one. I then filled them with candy and added an amuse die cut ghost. Tied them up with ribbon and what a cute Halloween treat for your family, friends, or co-workers.

This is a fun card using the bee happy stamp set.
I do not have this set but Sylvia rocks at coming up with ideas...so it is on my list.
What a fun card that can be used for any occasion.

Autumn wishes...

We made this Autumn card at Sylvia's using a whole lot of amuse product.
Sneak peek...the wreath is from the upcoming October Collection.
The leaves are from the holiday greenery stamp set. I love how we rocked the stamp in two different inks to give it multiple colors.

Peace

We made this beautiful card at Sylvia's card class using the "let their be peace" set from the amuse studio September Collection. It is a simple yet elegant design. We used splash with water on an acrylic block to paint in her dress using our water brush. Add a little clear wink of stella to give her extra sparkle.

new stamp drawers

After continuous searching I found the white cabinet drawers I was looking for.
These are from IKEA and they are the Alex Drawers. They are awesome!
Special thanks to my hubby for helping me put them together...it wasn't hard, just time consuming.
Now to fill them up!

My new stamp room!

Here is the empty room I started with...this used to be Luke's bedroom but he just moved into his own apartment /working full time at his job, so it was perfect timing for me to have my own stamp room! The cute curtains I found at K-mart.

My amuse studio sign was painted by my sister when I joined amuse studio. It has been downstairs in my stamp area on an easel... but now it hangs in the perfect spot...come on in!

Luke's room has this amazing closet...and yes I filled it up pretty quick! This may be the only time it is all tidy. All I have to do is shut the door and no one will even see if it is messy.
Notice the shelf above the closet...can't wait to fill that!

I was on the hunt for a stamp table or desk and found this beauty at Big Lots...of all places. I had spent an entire morning going to furniture stores...Hobby Lobby...and came up short. This is perfect as it has an outlet built in and USB ports too! I am very proud to say I put it together by myself!

I had these two paper sorters downstairs for a long time and they are quite handy for storing all my amuse studio cardstock.

Here is a good view of my work area...the bookcase with all my amuse stamp sets is just within reach of my desk.

This wall needs some attention. I am on the search for some drawer cabinets so I can store my wood block stamps. I still need to hang the Martha Stewart shelf and the printer's tray shelf. When I find those and get situated I will be back with more pictures...but in the mean time...I am up and running!

It's been so HOT this week that I thought I'd cool off by making a wintery card. I love this little fella from the September Collection...tag you're it! He is adorable. You can get this fella along with his friends... and with matching dies during the month of September only...don't miss out!
The sentiment is from festive girl and landscape die for the snow.

XU GRAD-ification

Luke decided to try out  his crafting skills by making his own bed out of pallets
for his new apartment.
About a month or so ago he got this idea and asked his Dad and I for help. Joe has many pallets at the farm so Luke got busy....

The chalk box impressed Luke like no other tool in America....and after getting all the pallets cut to size he went to work sanding.

After a month of working on his bed....gratification....oh wait, we aren't finished yet....

It looks like it is two different colors...one being blue, but it is actually a steely gray color.

Here is Luke sitting on the front porch of his new apartment....yes, you see those windows on the 3rd floor? That's where we are heading!

Here is his bed finished and assembled in his room. That is his sister, Alison who came to visit...and then wanted to take a nap...ha...silly kids!
The beautiful quilt t-shirt blanket is a Martha Brown creation...a gift for Luke at his high school graduation...a treasure indeed!

Notice the extra length to his bed...his cubes were supposed to go there but he is using them in the corner of his room to put his tv on. He had decided it makes a good bench at the foot of his bed.

His very cool rug he bought and if you notice his cubes in the corner...excuse the chaos.

Finishing touch...goes well with the color scheme.
Great job Luke with your very first crafty project...you make your momma proud!
