Ready for stamp club and a fun afternoon yesterday!
Instead of door prizes, each gal received a few pieces of the retired chevron cardstock.
Believe me, every hour is happy hour with these gals...and we weren't even drinking any margaritas!
Our projects for the day...shout out to Chelsea (rainbow card) and Sylvia ( bear card) for their card ideas. We all enjoyed creating these beautiful cards. Thanks ladies for a fun afternoon of stamping, laughing, and snacking! We are so sorry we missed you Casey...hope you are feeling much better!
Here is another sympathy card I made for someone that needs some prayers this week.
The stamp is a retired stamp from amuse studio but it is a good one so if you have it in your stash, keep it. Touch of Nature is perfect for every occasion but I find myself using it more for when I make sympathy cards. The sentiment is from a wood block stamp I have in my stash.
I needed a few sympathy cards this week and so I went with a hundred wishes stamp set for the first one. I love this set as it is a great set to make a simple and lovely card. I had the sentiment in a wood block stamp in my stash.
We used painters tape to make the multi colors of lines for the background. I thought it was so great that it needed to be shared! You use strips of blue painters tape...one for each color that you are using, lay the sticky side on your ink pad and run your finger along the tape as to ink up the side on the ink pad. Lay the inked up side on your cardstock and rub the tape and lift it up and you have you your inked line. Repeat with each color until you are finished. Stamp you sentiment and any design and you have a beautiful card to send!
We created some great cards at Sylvia's card class Monday morning. We tried a few new techniques like squishing on acetate, using painters tape to make some lines, and misters to create a water color effect. Very nice Sylvia...I love your card classes!
This amazing card was made by Sherry at amuse studio....she is awesome at what she does! This card is perfect for any occasion...just add the sentiment you need and your card is ready! Make up a bunch at one time and just stamp the sentiment when you need it! Thanks Sherry for the wonderful inspiration!
