Happy Halloween!

Casey made this card for her co-workers using the Nevermore set from amuse studio. The Halloween treat bag is made with a retired stamp set called if you dare. I love how creepy the envelope is using the cherry splash ink....it really does look blood splatterd! Nice job Casey!

Just a reminder...you have until 11:59 EST to order your fight like a girl stamp set. When the clock strikes midnight...time is up. You can order at my webstore HERE before it is to late!

Inspirational workshop!

A dear friend of mine was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her foot. She has been undergoing chemo and radiation treatments and is looking ahead towards having surgery in December. She is only allowed to leave her home for doctor appts. and treatments. She is an amazing person who always puts others first and last night a great group of women came together to stamp and support their friend. Bettie came with her Ipad and we skyped with Carolyn before the evening started. She was smiling and laughing as we all said hello.

Gena, who you see standing in the corner opened her home to hold this workshop for Carolyn. I prepared 3 card projects for everyone to make. Each one made a card for themself and a card for Carolyn. Carolyn will recieve the hostess rewards from this workshop.
Thank you Gena for your hospitality!

We had 5 new stampers...and they rocked it! They were a little nervous at first but did an amazing job on their cards and really enjoyed the evening.

I made a treat for each person who attended to take home with them along with their 3 cards. The breast cancer set from amuse studio was perfect for the evening as Carolyn is fighting like a girl to beat this cancer.

Here are the 3 card projects we made for Carolyn.....

...and here is the basket of love that everyone created for her.

From non stampers to some who didn't even know Carolyn....I was truly inspired by the love and support these women have for her. I feel very blessed to have been a part of the evening and I feel even more blessed to have Carolyn as my friend.

calendar swap

I participated in a consultant calendar swap and I received all the months in the mail yesterday. We had to use products from the amuse catalog or the holiday catalog. I love each and every month...well done ladies.

October was my month for the calendar swap and I chose to use the toil and trouble stamp set.

I bought this scrapbook page holder at Michaels a while back and it will perfect for the 8 x 8 calendar. It only has slots for 10 pages so I had to do back to back on two months.

a real treat...

This is a real treat from my sister, Shari. She is very talented and it shows in this Halloween decor she made for me. She used all amuse paper, stamps, and dies. I love how she took the chevron cardstock to make a rosette spin like a spiderweb. It is such a work of art. Thank you Shari for all your creativity...so inspiring!

Here is a close up of the center.....the chevron cardstock is perfect for the makings of a web....and you might not be able to see it, but the web has a bit of glitter to make it stand out even more. Love the little felt spider from the candy box die set.

If you look closely you can see the screenprint background behind the witch...and I love the lantern and how she made the light shine from it.

How spooky....the bats hovering in front of the moon....Halloween is almost upon us......

fancy clips

I have been working on a gift basket for a friend.
She loves the color combo of pink and black so everything in the gift basket is just that!
I covered medium binder clips with amuse washi tape and some washi tape from smash book to make these binder clips have a bit more flair!

HOPE

I used the word HOPE from the fight like a girl stamp set and stamped it all over the front of this card in blush ink from amuse studio. I then stamped the pink ribbon in blush also and added the words "think pink" in black versafine. Just another way to spread the word of breast cancer awareness!

October is...

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

This would be a great card to send to your girlfriends reminding them to get their mammogram. I love how amuse studio is giving away these free "fight like a girl" stamp sets during the month of October. You can order yours HERE and start making your cards today.
Don't wait or it will be too late!

For this card, I used the fight like a girl stamp set. I inked the images in blush ink from amuse studio and the cute little October calendar is from a template that Brenda Lee sent me for doing a calendar swap. It was perfect for making this card. I love the little push pin you get in this stamp set. You can stamp it on your calendar each month as a reminder to do your self check breast examine.

Here is a close up of the fall card we made at Regina's worshop on Friday.

I fell in love with this card as soon as I saw it in the holiday catalog. (pg. 13)
Fall is my favorite season and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday so I knew I wanted to have this card as one of the projects. Everyone did a fantastic job on their card and I give thanks to all my stamping friends.

witch end is up?

We made these darling witch legs cupcakes at Regina's workshop. I printed the template on some sage polka dot and onyx cardstock. The legs are paper straws cut in thirds...or you could do halves. Each person got to choose which color legs and shoes they wanted. These would be the hit of the crowd at your next Halloween bash!

Regina's workshop

Regina hosted this month's stamp club at her house and she is set up and ready for a evening of stamping fun! Thanks to her husband for allowing us to take over the house!

Here are the projects we made....a cute little owl treat, candy corn treat, the awesome witch legs, and a give thanks card that you can find in the holiday amuse studio catalog on pg. 13.

We are missing Shari, Colleen, and Jeanne from our stamp club, however Monica came on by to enjoy an evening of stamping. We will see you 3 next time!

Such concentration...really it was not that difficult of a card...just looks like it.

As always a lot of laughs, good food, and great friends!
A big thank you to Regina for hosting and
thanks ladies for a great evening of stamping.
