three cheers for rosettes!

I am loving the rosette dies from amuse studio. The 4th of July is just around the corner and I was in the holiday spirit. I used the "let freedom ring" stamp set along with the star dies to make these festive rosettes.

I did it!

I finally did it....I conquered the art of making rosettes....with a bit of help from amuse studio's rosette dies. They are fabulous! I will be posting several I made in the next few days. This particular one I made to dress up the envelope on a graduation card.

for the graduate

I give all the credit to Chelsea Comer for this card. She made a darling tag with the exact design you see above. I loved it so much I just had to make a card using her idea. I used cherry and onyx because of the school colors for the graduate. I absolutely love this set!

t-shirt quilt

My wonderful sister-in-law made this "awesome" t-shirt quilt to give to my son for graduation. These were some of his favorite t-shirts from when he was small right up through his high school days. He never noticed them missing until he saw his quilt and pointed to them saying "that's where that shirt went". What a keepsake of all his childhood memories...thank you so much Martha!

A personal touch on the back side of the quilt.

You Da' Man!

I made these birthday cards for three of my nephews. "foiled again" is an old set from amuse studio. I really never thought I would be a fan of mustaches, but I can't help but love these!

amuse studio has a new set that has larger mustaches, but no words.

Casey made this CAS card using just a few pearl embellishments for just a bit of zing. Thank you Casey for the card and letting me share it with everyone.
You rock girlfriend!

gift wrap

This is the gift I gave to my father-in-law yesterday for Father's Day. It was a framed picture and zipper tie for him. I decided to wrap the frame in brown paper and then use the actual tie for the front, creating the look of a shirt and tie. I did not go to too much trouble as he was going to tear it open to see the gift, however I thought it turned out cute. I even put a simple pocket on the front and slid his card inside...added a few sticker letters for DAD.

yummy feel better treat!

My friend Casey, made this for a friend at work whose daughter just had foot surgery. It is just so darling and so colorful...how could it not cheer anyone up! Not to mention all those yummy candies to munch on while recuperating on the couch watching movies! Great job Casey!

decorative stars

I found this bag of red, white, and blue stars at Pier 1 Imports. They had a spectacular display of the red, white and blue. I might string them up, put them on a wreath, or just put them in a clear hurricane for display.

This card was simple to make with the "let freedom ring" stamp set from amuse studio. I used navy, bermuda, and cherry ink on sugar cardstock. I layered on bermuda cardstock and adhered it to a cherry card. I love this set from amuse studio.

happy birthday

I made this card for my friend, Colleen's birthday. I love the look of the french roast ink on the kraft cardstock. I die cut a butterfly out of french roast cardstock and used glue dots for a bit of dimension on the card. I stamped the sentiment on sugar cardstock and inked the edges.

nuggets of wisdom...

I took a small clear paint can and filled it with money wrapped nuggets. I saw the idea on Pintrest. I tied several ribbons on the one side of the handle and decorated the lid and had an instant graduation gift!

Jessie's artwork

Jessie's artwork was impressive for a soon to be second grader.
I love the little graduate she drew of Luke.

Friday, June 8, 2012

got you covered....

I found these elastic table covers at Hobby Lobby and they are the best invention for table cloths. I used them at Luke's graduation party and did not have to worry about the table cloths blowing off . They fit nicely on a 6' banquet table and you can wash them off and reuse them. They came in a variety of colors but since Luke's school colors were red and white that is what I used. They were $4.99 each but I bought them when they had a 40% off sale.

cute table decorations

Are these darling or what?!
My sister made these for the tables at their FFA banquet.
I would imagine most of the guests were happy to take one of these home.

Would love to have one of these on my table...

go forth...

This detailed graduation card was made by my sister and given to Luke on his party day.
She used many amuse products...twine, pearls, venetian cardstock, and the congradulations stamp set.

Xavier bound...

Luke will be Xavier bound in the fall....and with him he will take this awesome valet box my sister painted for him. She is very talented and creative when it comes to a gift for someone.

This is the top/lid of the box.

This is the inside of the box.

A little closer look of the display inside of his box.
Awesome!

happy birthday!

I made this card for my sister's birthday. I used the charming gardeners stamp set from amuse studio. I stamped the flower in versafine black and added a few onyx pearls to the center. A little sheer onyx ribbon on the stem sets the flower off.  Happy Birthday, Shari!
