You're the sweetest

Last but not least...this card we embossed the words on vellum. You can't really see the cupcake under the vellum but we water colored the paper and stamped the hey cupcake stamp on it. It looks great in person! I love the color combo and the tiny sequins!

An apple a day...

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away...but in this case how about for the teacher on the first day of school. This duo was fun to make. Sylvia showed us how to use acetate to make a unique card.
Thanks Sylvia!

With sympathy

I've been in need of several sympathy cards lately. This one I made the other day with a new spellbinder die that I found at the stamp convention. Love the wrought iron gate with the open door.

Monday, August 10, 2015

While at the stamp convention over the weekend, many of the vendors offer free make-n-takes. This gives you an opportunity to try out their products. Here is a tag I made at the Technique Junkies booth.
We stamped the sunflower background and then colored it in using thick paints that dry very quickly and are dimensional. We then used different color sprays that blended so well across the tag. The final step was to add the stencil word. A very beautiful tag.

card carousel

I found this beauty at a little shop in downtown Harrison that is going out of business. They actually carried a huge selection of decor and gift items. I was waiting in line to pay when I saw this on their desk and asked if it was for sale...and guess what?! $10 later it was mine!
It will make a great addition to my stamp room/workshop days.
I will miss Edgewood Designs but I thank them for my wonderful find!

bring on the fun

At National Conference we consultants do a swap of cards or other items we created. This fun posti note pad was made by Seleise and I love it! It's the perfect size for your desk or purse. So I thought I would make a few of my own and change the saying up a bit!

I love these cute little posti note pads! You can find the posti notes at any office supply store.
Create your own and give to all your friends.
I used papaya polka dot cardstock and paper lanterns stamp set and fiesta stamp set.

Anniversary wishes

Happy Anniversary to my sweetie of 28 years! We haven't changed a bit!

This is the card Joe gave me on our anniversary...he is so funny...he sneaks into my stash of cards and finds one for the occasion. This one in particular I did not make... it was from a swap I did...I think.
He wrote on the envelope "thanks for making such great cards!" Guess I made his shopping a bit easier.
