I was inspired by Lori Barnett @stamp scents to create these two simple cards.
The grunged sunrays is a favorite stamp of mine from amuse|studio.
....and I love, love, love the little crab....isn't he just darling?!
sugar and wheat cardstock
buttercup, wheat, bermuda, cranberry ink
grunged sunrays, life's a breeze, and swanky backgrounds stamp sets
I made very simple thank you cards using the mad for plaids stamp set and the thank you mix stamp set. It is hard to tell, but I stamped lines with sugar ink going the opposite direction of the darker lines.
sugar, latte, sky, and versafine ink
latte and sky cardstock

My sister sent me this thank you card. She can take a simple design and turn it into something wonderful. This is another favorite amuse studio stamp set.

Our nephew and his wife, Lauren, are expecting baby brown to arrive in September. Today is the baby shower and this is the gift I am giving. Inside the black box are the thank you notes I made for her that I posted the other day. I found the darling sheep at Hallmark and because they are doing the baby's room in sheep and moss green....it is perfect! The white photo box contains a fleece baby blanket, onesies, and sleepers. The onesies and sleepers have little sheep on them and are absolutely adorable. I trimmed the photo box in gingham and they can use it to hold special mementos. I made several tags to adhere to the packages I am looking forward to meeting baby brown in September!
This is one of the projects we did at our workshop on Sunday. You can hang it on a peg in your stamp room. Everyone did theirs with different patterned paper from amuse|studio and coordinated the colors with their room. It is not amuse|studio, but the stamp is a wood block from A Muse. Each "shop" name was printed out on the computer. We used glue dots to give it a bit of dimension.
In my post yesterday I mentioned that everyone chose a different stamp set to make their inchie card....this is one of them. I love the shades of colors that were chosen to make this card.
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon....with friends and a whole lot of stamping!
We started off our workshop with a look at the amuse|studio products. I had planned on everyone making the inchie card pictured above, but with all the wonderful spotlight stamp sets and some favorites from the catalog, everyone decided to make a different one that suited themselves.....fabulous!
We had a wonderful time learning from each other and being creative.....thank you ladies!
These thank you cards are part of the gift for the baby shower next weekend. My favorite part of making these thank you cards are the little baby peeking out of the crib. The animal train is a nice touch to the envelope flap.

I found this tower at Big Lots over the weekend. It works perfectly to store the amuse|studio stamp sets. I put my clear stamp jewel cases on the back of this storage tower. It has a swivel base so I can turn it easily to find what I need. It was a great deal at $29.99 and some assembly is required.
