Day 3 Chocolate Trail

Day 3 of our Chocolate Trail Adventure.
This is our final day.
First stop was Fountain Acres to the Amish Store.

Our next stop was Abbot's Candy Store

I could so work in a store like this!
All this delicious sweetness and I just love the color scheme...my favorite color being pink!

Making caramels...oh my!
That one section of caramel will make over 900 pieces of caramels!

This reminds you of  Lucy and Ethel and that hilarious candy making scene!

Lunch was at Willow Springs...great sandwich shop!

After lunch it was time to head home....we had filled our Chocolate Passport.
Goodbye Hilltop Hideaway!

A great weekend with friends.

Day 2 of the Chocolate Trail Adventure

Day 2 started out cool but sunny.
It was going to be a beautiful day of outdoor festival browsing and shopping!

The Warm Glow festival in Centerville, was going on inside and out of the store.
The candles are amazing! There were so many scents, making it very hard to choose!

We ate at Ugly Mugs...a fun place to eat and watch the Bengals game...on the small screen since we were in Indiana. I guess the Colts got priority...Bengals lost :(
The loaded tater tots were amazing and and the sliders were just as good!

The Village Forager was a great stop.
It had some unique gifts and a delicious candy sample on our chocolate tour.
Bought a wooden pear bowl that was only $4!

Looks good with some fall potpourri.

Our next stop was Main Street Sweets in Cambridge City.
The sample of fudge was so yummy!
I might have to say it was my favorite so far!

A little relaxing on the front porch before dinner at Galo's!

Galo's Italian Restaurant

Ahh...so good!

Fire in the sky...another beauty of a sunset....day 3 coming up!

Chocolate Trail Day One...

Regina, Karen, Colleen, and I had a blast over the weekend going on a Chocolate Trail Adventure in Richmond, Indiana. We spent three days sampling chocolate, shopping, eating, and laughs.
 It was so much fun!

Day 1 in Richmond, Indiana.
The buildings were so interesting.
Most had murals painted on them that were so realistic.

We ate at Firehouse BBQ and it was all about the BBQ pork.
Chocolate ice cream was delicious at our first stop on our passport.

The Muddy Monkey had chocolate candy rocks.
They were so pretty and delicious too.

The next stop ran out of chocolate donuts...so we got to pick whatever we wanted.
I chose a lightly glazed pumpkin donut. It was quite tasty!

At J and J winery they no longer participate in the Chocolate Tour.
However they did allow us to sample a wine of our choosing.
We enjoyed a sweet red wine called EROS.
Cheers Karen!

Day 1 ended with a beautiful sunset.

Fall Porch Pot

I went to a class at Casey's Outdoor Solutions last night to make a Fall Porch Pot.
It was super easy to make and a lot of fun!

As you can see it starts out simple and turns into something fabulous!

Looks lovely on my front porch with my farmhouse sign!

Card class

We made some very cute treats at Sylvia's card class yesterday!
She has some amazing talent!
She also finds some of the cutest and creepiest treats to put inside of the treat bags and boxes.

We also made four beautiful cards.
Love all the colors and techniques!
Thanks Sylvia for a great class!
