two by two...

This is the baby shower gift we gave Samantha.
I took a box and covered it with woodgrain cardstock from amuse to make it look like the ark, then I stuffed all the baby gifts inside and tied it up.

I made a set of notecards for Samantha's baby shower gift. Of course they came in a set of two each since it was a Noah's Ark theme. Look closely at the onesie...it is the same animals as the little peanuts stamp set.

My sister sent me this shot of a frog in her lily pond....I guess they have to stay cool in this heat too.

baby shower

I made this card for Samantha's baby shower.  The idea came from a sample card made by amuse studio. I used the little peanuts stamp set along with the scallop die for the umbrella and I free hand cut the water.

The rain drops are an old, amuse artstamp, wood block stamp. I think it turned out darling...and it goes with Samantha's theme...Noah's Ark.

Ordination card

We went to the first mass of newly ordained Fr. Matt Robben. He is a family friend and he was ordained on May 19, 2012. His first official mass was yesterday, and what a beautiful celebration it was. My sister, whose husband is related to Fr. Matt, made this beautiful card for him. I can't even begin to describe how she went about this card, but as you can see all the detail is just amazing...right down to the inside of the card.

boquet of sweetness...

This card was made by my sister for a sweet baby girl's birthday. I believe she is a twin so I bet she made two of them. I love the background paper that looks like the sprinkles on the cupcake icing.

happy birthday

This was a quick and easy card to make with "the scoop" stamp set. I just colored in the ice cream to make it look like the strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate flavors. 

a whole set of easy thank yous....

This is a set of cards I made using the flower die set 2 and the butterfly trio die set from amuse studio. Don't you just love all the lovely colors amuse has in the petite polka dot cardstock?!

Here is another simple thank you using the butterfly dies from amuse. I added a few pearls for an extra special touch. Again, I love the amuse petite polka dot cardstock!

Happy Mother's Day

I was never really a fan of butterflies but my Mom loved them, so everytime I see them I think of her. The Papillon set is a beautiful set of butterflies that you can do so much with. I saw a card done similiar to this one and it inspired me to make this card. I stamped the script background in buttercup on sugar cardstock and inked the edges. Then I stamped the butterfly 3 times in versafine onto the sugar cardstock. I stamped the butterfly 3 more times and colored them in using copic markers in various shades of yellows, oranges, and reds. I cut them out and popped them up to give the card dimension. I added a bit of sparkle pen to make them really pop, added my sentiment and was very pleased with how beautiful this card turned out.

This was a very simple card to make using the amuse flower die set 2. I love the petite polka dot cardstock from amuse because it comes in so many pretty colors. I used a paper punch for the center of each flower and the sentiment is from essential sentiments stamp set.

Creating paper shades for fairy lights from vellum paper is easy and SO lovely!

Die cut a circle for each light. Score lightly in half, turn, and score other half. Then score again in middle of each segment to create 8 roughly-equal segments. Pre-fold lightly on each score line. While folded in half, use crop-a-dile to cut cirlce in center. Cut along one score line to center. Place around light, slightly overlapping vellum and adhere with glue dot.

Each of these flowers (modeled from lilies) begin as a 4"x4" square. Freehand cut into leaf shape and fold rounded sides in towards one another. Insert half-inch piece of Papaya cardstock and staple together at very bottom (the staple is hidden by the leaves). Leaves are freehand cut as well.

I went to Archiver's with my friend, Sylvia yesterday and picked up this fun little tool. The Quickstix will help you with those tiny jewels or pearls that are hard to get off the sheet.

you're so sweet...

I love the "hey cupcake" stamp set from amuse. It is a must for every stamper. You can make some great cards with this set. I used the grapefruit, grape, and pistachio cardstock from amuse and mixed them up a bit to creat these sweet looking cards.



what's in the egg...

This was a little gift for my niece at Easter. She was born and raised on a dairy farm and she and her husband continue to help out on the farm. Now that they are expecting, I found a darling onesie to give them. I put it in a clear egg and tied it up with some vanilla crush ribbon from amuse....so darling.

Is this not the perfect gift....I just love it!



baby card

I made this cute little baby card for my niece who is expecting her first child in the fall. I love the "sleepy sighs" stamp set from amuse. The little baby head peeking from the crib is not amuse....it is something I have had for a long time. It is the perfect size for the crib.

My daughter just finished up her finals and now is ready for a bit of  rest and relaxation.

She is heading to Florida for some sandy beaches and sunshine...

I used the life is a breeze and graphic sunflower stamp sets from amuse.

Umbrella, girl and sentiment are stamps I had in my stash that I thought were perfect for this card.
